ABOUT OUR FIRE COMPANY

Wayne Fire Company 5 is one of five fire companies serving the Township of Wayne, NJ, located about 20 miles west of New York City. We currently have over 35 active members and respond to over 800 emergencies per year. We are located in the Packanack Lake section of Wayne and therefore are also known as Packanack Lake Fire Company 5 (PLFC5).

Since we are the most centrally located firehouse in Wayne, we respond to all parts of the town. Our response area stretches through all of Wayne, from the Willowbrook Mall to the Toys “R” Us corporate headquarters. Major roadways such as Routes 23 and 46 and Interstate 80 bring commuters to and from an area of industrial complexes, garden style apartments, nursing homes, as well as single-family homes.

PLFC5 prides itself on strong community ties, we like to get involved in all the different events that occur throughout the year, from Packanack Day to the Halloween Parade and everything in between.
