Our second rescue call today was for a vehicle into the water in Packanack lake. All occupants were removed safely.

This morning, company 5 responded to five calls, two of which were rescues. Our first, pictures here, was dispatched as a truck entangled in live power lines with driver inside.

Fire Company 5 doesn’t just respond to fires. We are the department’s only Rescue company and respond to every working structure fire, vehicle extrication and technical rescue in town and provide mutual aid to many surrounding municipalities.

Wayne Fire Department is 100% volunteer & responds to over 1500 calls per year.
